How to make a landscape photo fit as your phone wallpaper (no cropping)
When you set a landscape photo as wallpaper, your phone zooms in and cuts off most of it. Instead, make an image that is exactly your screen's size, with the whole photo in the middle.
Open the toolStep by step
- Open the image tools on your phone and choose the Phone wallpaper tab. Your screen size is filled in automatically as This device's screen.
- Add the photo. On a computer, pick your phone under Brand and Model, or type the size under Custom size.
- Choose Show whole photo + fill so nothing is cut off.
- Pick how to fill the empty space: Solid color, Auto color or Ambient for a soft blurred background.
- Press Convert, then Share / Save to Photos (or Save) and set the saved image as your wallpaper.
Good to know
- Turn on Show lock-screen clock (preview only) to check that the clock won't cover anything important.
- Prefer filling the screen instead? Choose Zoom to fill and drag the frame to pick the part that stays.
- Wallpapers are saved at your screen's full resolution, so they stay sharp.
Is it safe?
Yes. Your photo is processed in your browser, in a sealed area with no internet access. It never leaves your phone.
