How to merge PDF files on iPhone or Android (no app)

Got two PDFs on your phone and need to send just one? You can join them right in Safari or Chrome, without installing an app or uploading anything.

Open the tool

Step by step

  1. Open the PDF tools in your phone's browser (Safari, Chrome or Samsung Internet) and stay on the Merge tab.
  2. Tap the blue box and pick your PDFs. On iPhone they come from the Files app, iCloud Drive or Downloads; on Android from Files or Google Drive.
  3. Use the up and down arrows on each card to put the files in the order you want.
  4. Optional: type a page range under a file, such as 1~2, to keep only some of its pages.
  5. Tap Merge. iPhone saves merged.pdf to Files › Downloads; Android saves it to the Downloads folder.

Good to know

  • You can add files in several rounds: tap the blue box again to add more.
  • Large scans can take a few seconds on older phones. Keep the screen on until it finishes.
  • To share the result right away, open it from Downloads and use your phone's Share button.

Is it safe?

Yes. Everything happens inside your phone's browser, in a sealed area that has no internet access. Your PDFs are never sent to a server.
